Gwynedd Environmental Waste Services Limited (GEWS Ltd) is a family owned and operated waste management and drainage services Company providing a professional, fast, reliable, friendly & competitive liquid waste collection and disposal service and drainage service to domestic, commercial and industrial customers. We do exactly what our name suggests. We can take care of all your liquid waste quickly, cleanly, and efficiently with no fuss at all. Liquid waste disposal does not have to be a hassle - simply call GEWS Ltd, and let us take care of everything.

Since establishing in 1994, GEWS Ltd has developed into one of Wales' leading drainage and waste disposal companies, currently employing over 80 full time staff. Our Head Office is based in Penrhyndeudraeth, Gwynedd, with 3 smaller depots based in Gaerwen (Anglesey), Queensferry and Shrewsbury. You will note the wide geographical area covered by the business, covering the whole of Wales, and many parts of the Marches including Cheshire, Shropshire and Herefordshire, with over two and a half thousand active customers, including Local Authorities, commercial and private.

- How we do it -

With Combination Jetter/ Vacuum units, Rigid vacuum tankers, Articulated vacuum tankers, Jetters, CCTV surveying vehicles, 5000 gallon articulated aqua tank to supply clean water to Vactors for the larger jobs where hydrant water supply is not readily available, 13 metre reach telescopic handler mounted safety platform for confined space entry to open tanks, 32 tonne grab loader/tipper, Confined space team and equipment and Traffic management including traffic control vehicles.

HGV Mechanic/Fitter required

GEWS Transport Ltd are seeking an experienced mechanic/HGV mechanic for their depot in Penrhyndeudraeth. The positions will include working on a variety of LGV/HGV's from the company's fleet. Duties will include, but will not be limited to; preparation for MOT/VOSA test, 6 weekly inspections, fault diagnostics, fault repairs, preventative maintenance, brake rectification together with all the associated paperwork. Occasional overtime and weekend work will be required to meet the company's demands. HGV licence, previous experience with diagnostic equipment, electrical systems and hydraulics would be advantageous, but not essential.

Standard working hours will be from 07:00 to 17:00, Monday to Friday.

Wages dependant on experience and qualifications.

GEWS Training Centre Penrhyndeudraeth

GEWS Ltd are pleased to announce the opening of their new training centre in Penrhyndeudraeth. The centre holds accreditations from CITB, City & Guilds, JAUPT (drivers CPC) and AoFAQ. The training centre will provide a variety of courses for local and national businesses. Courses are available both here at our training centre, on site or on your premises if you would prefer. Our courses range from operative to management and cover a variety of industry sectors.

Our instructors have a wealth of experience in their specialist fields and are still actively involved in major projects nationally which ensures the most up to date knowledge of industry best practice is passed on to learners attending the courses. We use our real world training environments to give learners the skills and knowledge to unlock their full potential.
