Since
establishing in 1994 the Company has developed into one of North and mid
Wales' main waste disposal companies. Currently we have 400 active
clients and in addition to these we have approximately 70 other
customers under our "Mawddach Waste Disposal" service. This is a
business operated under the same name as the previous owner for
geographic and customer service reasons but is an integral part of GEWS
Ltd. Similarly Anglesey Drain Cleaning Company is run in Anglesey in
the same vain. You will note the wide geographical area covered by the
business, covering all of North and many areas of Mid Wales and parts of
North West England.
The Customer base can be analysed into the following categories
a)
Domestic
This work involves the emptying of septic
tanks. Our skills and expertise means that we are constantly called upon
to service difficult locations.
b)
Businesses
We have a wide range of business customers
ranging from Hotels, Camp Sites and Holiday Parks.
c)
Public
Sector and Government Agencies
Our staff are trained in Confined Space
Operations. This allows us to provide services not offered by most waste
disposal services in North and Mid Wales.
One of our main customers are United Utilities, working on contracts for
Dwr Cymru, with work ranging from works to works sludge movement, Sludge
to land, disposal of water treatment works sludge, wet well cleaning,
high / low volume jetting and special waste disposal ....
We are also working for Enterprise, as their approved drain and gulley
cleansing Contractors on the Isle of Anglesey & Shropshire. A number of
Local Authorities have included us on their approved contractors list,
for gulley cleaning and jetting work. We currently employ over 50 full time
staff, and we have a policy of employing local people and we also
provide full training in specialist areas of work, for example Confined
Spaces operations.We carry out specialist work
that has not been available in this area in the past. Quality of work
and reliability has enhanced the growth of the business over the last
few years, and we hope to maintain the level of service and to grow the
company in order to provide further employment in the future.
